I loved the perfect location of this backpackers, with shops, bars, and restaurants just steps away. the hostel had a very communal atmosphere, with a common area featuring a hammock where people would chat and relax. the dorm room was clean and the beds were comfy, providing a good rest. the rooftop offered breathtaking sunsets, and the delicious breakfast with scrambled eggs, coffee, bread, and fruits was an amazing value.
There was only a small chill out area on the second floor, which was a bit limited for relaxation.

Good location, close to the old town and within walking distance to restaurants, temples, and shops.
Chaotic check-in and check-out process, with issues regarding payment and lost deposit for keys.

I got great value for my money at Purple Monkey Backpackers. The room was comfortable with clean beds. The location was perfect, surrounded by street food stalls and bars. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to assist me organizing events and even printing my bus tickets. I had a fantastic time meeting other travelers in the common areas and will definitely return.
The only thing that could make the breakfast option better is if they offered a wider variety of choices.

the overall experience was really good, with comfortable beds, clean dorm rooms, and a welcoming vibe. the staff, especially Zak and Yassin, were amazing and went above and beyond to help us. the hostel's location is excellent, with convenience stores, laundry facilities, and food options just a minute away. It's also situated right on the east side of the Old Town wall, making it close to popular nightlife spots like Spicy, Las Vegas, and Zoe in Yellow. The rooftop bar was a cool place to hang out, and the buffet breakfast was awesome. Cons: Nothing - everything was great! 👍.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a great night's sleep after a long day of exploring. the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. They provided recommendations for local activities and even organized outings to the nearby bars and shows. The location was also perfect, being within walking distance of the main sights and temples, making it easy to explore the city.
The noise from the surrounding area, which could sometimes be quite bothersome, especially during the night. the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms could have been improved, as they seemed to lack proper cleaning.

We had a fantastic stay at Purple Monkey Backpackers! the bed was incredibly comfortable and the air conditioning was the best we've experienced. the common area had a cool balcony with hammocks and they even had cheap beer available. the highlight of our stay was definitely the host, who went above and beyond to make our night unforgettable. They took us to a crazy and hilarious nightclub just around the corner. the staff was also extremely friendly and helpful, arranging various events for us to attend during our stay. We were also impressed by the delicious breakfast provided and the perfect location close to everything we needed in Chiang Mai. 😊.
